The details

Good questions. Clear answers.

Is The Track operating Ironwood now?

The Track is a proposal for Ironwood, not its current operator. Selection, funding, agreements and approvals remain ahead. Ironwood’s existing operation and booking arrangements remain separate from this proposal.

Will golf remain open to the public?

Yes. That is central to our proposal. We plan public daily-fee tee times and local affordability. You would not need to be a Lifetime Steward to play, practice or enjoy the clubhouse.

Who qualifies for local pricing?

We plan lower pricing for Alachua County residents and qualifying workers, a regional tier and affordable junior opportunities. Final rates, definitions and documentation will be published before sales begin.

Is $35 the confirmed local rate?

No. A local green fee around $35 is our goal for a vastly improved course. We aim to keep everyday prices around Ironwood’s familiar municipal level while working toward lower local rates through the proposed nonprofit and community-supported approach. Final green fees, cart charges, practice pricing, inclusions and eligibility will be published before booking opens; $35 is not an all-inclusive package or a current Ironwood rate.

What does nonprofit stewardship mean today?

It is the direction we are pursuing, not an announcement of established tax-exempt status. We intend to work with a fiscal sponsor for eligible charitable activities and develop an independent nonprofit as approved. No sponsor agreement is in place. Work & Family LLC d/b/a The Track remains the bidder.

What is a Lifetime Steward?

Our proposed program offers 352 named places: $10,000 individually or $30,000 for a Dream Foursome of four named people. Championship golf, range access and Mosquito play once open are included; carts cost extra. Stewards have the same tee-time booking privileges as the public. Usage rules and final terms remain to be defined before purchase.

What happens to my earlier lifetime signup?

Original Charter Member and Lifetime Member signups carry forward as Lifetime Steward interest with their original order and priority preserved. You do not need to sign up again. No payment or new agreement is created by the rename. You can update or withdraw your interest by contacting us.

What do the first 100 receive?

The first 100 purchasers will receive added founding benefits, with details to be announced before purchase. One Dream Foursome counts as one purchaser and four of the 352 places. Earlier lifetime signup priority is preserved; an interest form is not a completed purchase. Purchaser recognition and recipient capacity are separate, and the program may fill before 100 purchasers if enough foursomes are taken.

Is the revised Steward program already approved by the City?

No approval is represented. The proposed program remains subject to public access, operating capacity and any required City approvals before sale.

Can I pay or make a tax-deductible donation here?

We are not collecting payments or donations through this website. Interest is nonbinding, and no tax deduction is promised. Any future payment would require a new decision after receiving final terms and identification of the receiving entity. Playing benefits are not automatically a charitable gift.

What does lifetime mean if the lease ends?

That must be addressed in final terms before any sale. Course control is not guaranteed indefinitely. We will explain benefit duration, interruption, cancellation and remedies before asking anyone to pay.

What comes first?

Clubhouse atmosphere and targeted course improvements, with the Proposed Trackman range as the first major project. The Mosquito lighted short course, The Dunk putting green and connected gathering spaces are central to the plan, alongside the full-course par-3 overlay and dual pins. Delivery details depend on design, funding and approvals.

Will improvements interrupt play?

We plan to keep golf available as work proceeds and do not anticipate prolonged whole-course closures. Individual amenities may be temporarily unavailable during their improvements, with access changes communicated in advance.

Are The Dunk and the putting green different projects?

They are the same facility: a large-format putting green with a putting course laid out on it. It is a place for a first putt, a friendly match or one more loop before heading home.

Are youth partnerships and programs confirmed?

We are pursuing relationships with junior-golf organizations and educators. Much of our programming will be developed by The Track around etiquette, course care and understanding the game. Partners, staffing, supervision, schedules and eligibility will be confirmed before launch.

How can I help without buying anything?

Join the community update list, choose to show support publicly, offer feedback, express volunteer interest or introduce your local business. Honorary advisory participation is separate and begins by personal invitation. No purchase is required to support the mission.
