Gainesville has no First Tee, but it has the Gator Junior Golf Association, and we would make the Track its home from day one. Free golf and free instruction, funded in part by range balls and cart fees.

Why This Matters
Golf has to find you first
Our partner Ben Chase grew up in Orlando, raised by a single mother working as many as four jobs. He found golf the only way a kid like that ever could, through a public after-school program that took him to a course he'd never otherwise have set foot on.
Every round he's played since has been tied to a program or a class: a neighborhood center, a community college, a van ride out to the public course. That's the whole point of this place.

Programs & Access
How we keep it open to everyone
Free high school access
Every local high school golf team plays The Track through their season, on the house. The next generation learns the game on a course they can call their own.
College partners
Partnerships with the UF Club Golf Team and Santa Fe College, a real home course for the students who keep Gainesville golf young.
Beginners & women's clinics
Open, welcoming instruction for anyone picking up a club for the first time. Golf should never feel like it's behind a gate.
The etiquette program
We teach the care the game is built on: raking bunkers, fixing ball marks, welcoming guests on the first tee. Country club standards without the snobbery, and badges to earn along the way.
The internship
A youth and college internship program: hands-on, paid pathways into the game and the business of running a course, for kids who'd never otherwise get the chance.
